Bookings open for beefy waste collections

All Canberra residents can now book their Gratis annual bulky waste product collection and save a trip to the tip.

Every household is eligible for one drove per yr of up to two cubic metres.

Availability for collections

• Mattresses and bed bases ($25 fee per mattress and $25 fee per bed base/ensemble)

Non acceptable

• More than ii cubic metres of waste
• Items weighing more than than rubber manual treatment limits
• Household chemicals or hazardous waste
• Sail glass and mirrors
• Asbestos sheeting or asbestos products
• Gas bottles or burn extinguishers
• Soil or mixed fill textile
• Tyres
• Sharps, needles or sharps containers
• Timber over ii metres in length
• Garden waste (grass clipping, prunings) or food waste
• Building and construction rubble
• Solar panels
